Cooking Class: Hands-On Tamale Workshop *SOLD OUT*

Most people are familiar with making tacos, burritos, tostadas, even enchiladas. If you’re ready to step up your game, it’s time to tackle homemade tamales, from scratch. In Mexico, soft corn masa is spread on a corn husk, then sweet or savory fillings are added. It is all wrapped up and placed in a steamer pot to cook. You’ll practice making tamales, plus get tips on how to make traditional corn masa, learn about different fillings and a few accompanying sauces and enjoy the fruits of your labor for dinner.

Julie Francis, chef/owner of Nectar Personal Chef Services, will guide you through the process of making tamales.  She will also demo the other accompaniments that will round out your meal.

Please bring an apron.
